I invited Min over to have spaghetti with me. I was making the sauce from scratch and he helped. He added salt and sugar and suggested a bouillion cube. I made some garlic toast to go with it. First meal that I've made for him that was yummy!
After dinner we stretched out on the tatami and cuddled for a bit. He was rubbing my arm and saying something that now I am hard pressed to remember exactly, but it evoked a deep hurt from long ago. What Min was saying was so tender, yet I was remembering past events and feelings that left my romantic self esteem in shambles. The contrast moved me to tears.
Later we went for a long drive out to a, by Min's description, "romantic place." We drove to Nagoya and went over the three gargantuan bridges there. It took three years to build them all. The beam supports were different shapes and spectacularly lit with royal blue, green and teal lights and the wire supports were hung in different ways. We crossed over once, then made a U-turn and came back the same way.
We hit a movie in Kuwano City on the way home. We, or rather I (YES, the little bugger slept AGAIN!), saw "Sweet Home Alabama". Although I profess to be from Georgia (it's better known here than South Carolina), hearing all the accents and seeing the scenery, dances, pool halls, trailers, etc., was like a trip home. I also love the lead actor. He was in " A Beautiful Mind" as well.
I only got 4 hours of sleep today, so my eyes feel poached. I went to Hombu to make a video for another special class we are giving at Kamiishizu, and afterwards we went to the recording studio to make an MD for a 9th grade listening test. The recording studio is next to a pair of my favorite stores, so I said I'd walk over there by myself and walk home. It was fun browsing the electronic aisles and I bought 3 DVDs. I am trying to get all my favorite movies on DVDs, so I can use the Japanese and English language and subtitles for study.
It is starting to rain harder now, so I want open my window and lay down and go to sleep. Oyasumi.
