Time to celebrate

Wheeeeee, look at me! Internet in my living room! And it's soooo fassssssssssssssssst! I just want to celebrate!
I was a busy little beaver today. Got a new bank book. Hey, did you know that in Japan, they don't send you bank statements in the mail (at least my bank doesn't)? You have to take your bank book to an ATM and stick it in the machine for an update. Saves on paper and postage! The Japanese are always thinking (sometimes).
After that, I went to the travel agency to inquire about a few trips I'm planning. I'm looking into going to Bali, Australia and New Zealand in August. I'll probably hit the States in December for a couple of weeks as well. One day when I leave Japan, I shall get a "Round the World" ticket and visit 4 continents with a max of four countries each. On my list are:
Vietnam, Cambodia, Singapore, Nepal, Germany, Sweden, Spain, Scotland, Morocco, Kenya, South Africa, Ivory Coast, Venezuela, Chile, Paraguay, Belize. That's the preliminary list however, subject to change of political or meterological climates. If you want to nominate your own country, drop me a line detailing a fun fact or two and I may consider it.
It feels great to be planning to travel again. It feels great to have internet at home again too! Wheeeeee!
After the travel agency I went to the big electronics store to get a card for my computer to internet-ize it. I didn't know what to ask for, so I took the green Lan cable and a diagram of my computer and demonstrated that said green Lan cable would not fit into said computer, so what did I need to make it all better? It worked like a charm! I then called Fred to come and help me with the CD stuff, all in Japanese and here I am!
To repay Fred for his persistence and patience, I took him to the Nepali restaurant in town and we chowed down as I spilled my guts about the "hostage situation" of the last entry. I'm feeling better and better!
I have my Japanese class tomorrow. My poor beleaguered teacher, what a crummy student she has in me, and now that I have the internet at my fingertips, I will never study again! Muha ha ha ha!
Not a polished entry by any means, just thought I'd share my joy!
