Which came first?
...written on 01.05.02, @ 12:49 a.m.

Fri January 4, 2002

I rested my cheek on my left fist as I peered down into the small bowl to the right of my elbow.

"He's very proud of this dish," Hide said to me, "it's the first one that he's created for Bagus."

"Hmmm." I murmured as I smiled and nodded encouragingly to Kiri,

Bagus' gorgeous 24 year old barkeep/waiter/narcoleptic guitar player, as I slid the bowl over to Fred on my left. "Here Fred, you have some first." I offered politely.

I've seen and eaten many strange things while I've been in Japan and I usually try everything I'm offered at least once, and while I'm sure I could have gotten past the uncooked egg on top, I was pretty positive that I wouldn't have been able to stomach the raw chicken pieces beneath it.

Yep, I'm not sure which came first, the chicken or the egg, but I'm very sure that I like both of them cooked.

<--------- Hmmmmm, I'm curious . . .

:::It's time for another poll:::

Leave me a note in the notes section about whether you would balk at eating raw eggs and/or raw chicken and if it is a custom in your country or not. I would really appreciate it.

Thanks!
