Kyoto Korrespondence

Hello from Kyoto!
I am melting here in the land of the rising sun. It is durn, durn, hot.
And I'm studying like heck! This course I'm taking is intense, but oh so much fun.
I haven't had time to sightsee, only blow a few hundred bucks on books. Haven't had time to take pictures of my monkey yet either. (Hey, watch out!)
There I was, on the banks of one of Kyoto's two rivers, having a picnic with fellow students, when I struck up a conversation with a guy about theatre. He asked me where I went to school and I told him. Turns out we have an acquaintance in common! Tee hee, what a small world!
I'll be back home in a week and a half. Since I've been here, I haven't had a coke or been to McDonalds and I've been walking tons, so I'm a little slimmer than when I got here. Kyoto has been a time for me to break bad habits and start better ones.
